Presentation of the geoinformation system of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Ternopil region

On November 15, 2021, a presentation of the geographic information system (GIS) of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Ternopil region took place. Specialists of MagneticVan Municipal Technologies LLC worked on the development of this interactive map, and together with representatives of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Ternopil region, this resource has been put into test operation mode.

During the event, Ruslan Savchyshyn, the founder of MagneticVan Municipal Technologies LLC, presented the advantages and functionality of the geoinformation system, as well as the importance of its further development in accordance with the needs of the service.

At the moment, the geoinformation system of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Ternopil region contains the following available resources: Form for operational involvement of the unit, Interactive map, Module for monitoring the serviceability of fire-fighting water supply and Information module for monitoring the activities of units.

The tools of this program allow you to instantly display all the water sources closest to the occurrence of an emergency event, to lay out the most optimal tracking route, to see protective structures of civil protection, the boundaries of territorial communities, etc. Thus, the GIS of the State Emergency Service will help dispatchers to respond to calls faster and more clearly, in accordance with changes in the new boundaries of districts and exit zones of state fire and rescue units.

Victor Masley, head of the State Emergency Service Department of Ukraine in the Ternopil region, expressed confidence that such a geo-information system will become a necessary tool in the operational management of forces and means of the State Emergency Service not only in our region, but also beyond its borders.
